Handy with the airport shuttle / Good location.
Other travelers told me that hot water was a rarity in Nicaraguan hotels. However, during my three-week journey in the country I had hot showers in all hotels except for this one in Managua and a very cheap one in Masaya. My conclusion is that hot water in the shower isn’t really that exceptional in Nicaragua. I think for this price there could have been hot water here. For clarification: There was hot water in the tap of the sink but not in the shower (and I let the water run long enough to be sure).
After reading the many very positive reviews I decided to book this hotel for my first night. The hotel did indeed have many works of art. However, besides the fact that my room was very spacious, there wasn’t anything special about it. Actually it was quite dark with very little direct daylight. But the room was neat and quiet and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is located in the district Bolonia that is very safe during the day. If you don’t mind walking a bit, the Catedral Antigua is on walking distance (less than half an hour). You can continue your walk to the Malecón de Managua (with its many freedom trees that are colourfully lit at night) and to the Puerto Salvador Allende (an area near the lake with many restaurants and bars where you can watch the sunset). At night take a taxi to go back to the hotel ! The hotel has an airport shuttle. I arrived around 11 pm and the price of the shuttle was 20 US $. To go back to the airport during the day the price with the same man and car was 15 US $.
Had a great sleep with really friendly service.
We only stayed one night. The front desk was so friendly, the guys helped me park the car in a secured lot, they opened the restaurant for us and fed us dinner. What a great first night in Nicaragua. This is a small apartment style hotel with really friendly service.
We were very comfortable.
This hotel is a 5 star gem in Managua
The owners were fantastic, they went out of their way to be of assistance,. They were extremely helpful and friendly people. All of their staff were extremely helpful and friendly as well.
Comfortable two night stay in value for money accomodation.
No safe (caja fuerte) in the room although this was listed on the website. Wasn't a big problem as front desk is manned 24hrs & only a 2 night stay.
Good location just a short walk to Area Monumental and Malecon.Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good.Staff were helpful
The entire hotel and staff we're AMAZING! Clean rooms and entire property, delicious food and the best staff / owners I have ever encountered in my travels! They were extremely friendly and very accommodating during my stay! Thank you very much and I will be certain to stay again during my next visit to Managua !!!
A lovely place to spend a night or a week.
The owners were welcoming, very accommodating, knowledgeable of the area, and so interesting to speak with about all the art work in their posada.
located in a dangerous area, not really a "citycenter".old underwear under the bed, the breakfast was ok but smells old.for the high-priced-level too bad.
Helpful staff. Carved antique furniture, antiques and quirky art. Great breakfast. Huge comfortable bed with reading lamps. Large room. Even hot water! Convenient location -- a safe quiet leafy street but cheap local restaurants only a 5 block walk. Malecon, museum and main sights less than 2 kilometres walk. Expensive hotel but the booking.com rate makes it affordable.
Good value for money overall. An oasis of charm and character in an otherwise drab locality
The WiFi service went down for two days. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault mind you but it was quite a major inconvenience. Could have done with a better supply of hot water in the shower
I loved the interior decor around the hotel. Fascinating mix of neo colonial Christian and indigenous art, curios of various kinds, mahogany furniture. Sweet little front and back garden too. The staff were friendly in the main especially the Characterful owner and his wife. Breakfast was good too, especially the juices and fresh fruit.
Peaceful place to stay
The bed was so soft it nearly engulfed me!
Very lovely setting with a pretty courtyard area. Very quiet.
Great stay in Managua

Fantastic stay. Perfect after arriving from a long flight to Nicaragua. Met all expectations and beyond . Safe and good location. Lovely breakfast. Quiet accommodation. Large room. Beautiful gardens. Easy walk to the centre of Managua. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely owners. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
A must must stay for anyone visiting Nicaragua
I stay in the best Hotels in the world from the Four Seasons to the Ritz etc. None of them can beat a beautiful well run family Boutique Hotel. None so more in Nicaragua, no wonder it is one of the fastest growing tourist places in the world. Carlos and Ana are the best hosts you could ask for, warm caring and nothing is a problem. I cannot remember ever entering a Hotel one day a stranger and leaving the next day best friends!
All expectations exceeded
The attentiveness of the owner managers and their willingness to help and advise on local matters
A wonderful surprise and unexpected treat in Managua.
I didn't like having to leave and missed my delicious breakfast and comfy bed and lovely hosts.
An unexpectedly enjoyable 3 night stay in Managua was made even more enjoyable by the extraordinary hospitality of owners Don Carlos and Doña Anna Marie. On a number of occasions, Carlos dropped me off and picked me up from spots around town. I also found myself on impromptu tours with other hotel guests and got to see another side of Managua. The hotel is as much a museum as anything but is a very cozy and welcoming place oozing with personality. Trade the sterility of a modern hotel for a piece of Nicaraguan authenticity and give Managua a closer look.
Extremely clean with warm and friendly atmosphere.
Swimming pool would be an added feature.
We really enjoyed the feel of family environment. From when they picked us up at the airport to running us around to do errands with their personal vehicle to booking a room for us when we travelled to another city. The personal hands on was acceptional and seldom found at other hotels. Thank you Carlos, Anna and Staff for an unforgettable stay at your beautiful hotel!!
